Ensaio ao Luxo no Vinho

Luxo é o segundo singular que apela aos meus cinco sentidos.

Sempre fui atenta ao pormenor, ao exímio, ao diferenciador.

O meu luxo é vivido na procura do vinho ideal, o foco do meu trabalho. Em cada vinho, encontro a sua alma, a sua essência. Muito poucos chegam à excelência.

Começo a viagem da procura na cor, no brilho, no reflexo, onde tento ver ou descobrir a minha alma. No vinho branco, os dourados remetem-me para a medalha de ouro, o prazer da vitória. No vinho tinto, o vermelho remete-me para a luxuria, o prazer da vida.

No aroma, começam a revelar o carácter. Principia por ser um olor que atinge as memórias olfativas, onde posso encontrar flores, fruta, o cheiro de alfazema do armário velho da avó, ou o aroma do rebuliço espumoso do mar.

Depois, sinto o macio do fino copo de cristal que vou colocar na boca.

Expetativas altas. Quero tudo! A essência, a exclusividade, o deleite.

Quero que a acidez vibrante me faça ecoar, quero que a secura do vinho me peça para o voltar a colocar nos lábios, que a rugosidade seja só minha, que o volume que preenche a minha boca seja elegante, e que o néctar se mantenha tão diferenciador que suba a minha exigência a um novo patamar.

Um memorável copo de vinho é o luxo que procuro!

É com este conceito que acabo o meu período sabático.

Regresso para apresentar vinhos novos, néctares diferenciadores, produtores fora da caixa, ou seja vinhos que promovem momentos inesquecíveis.

Luxury is the second person singular—the one that appeals to all five of my senses.

I have always been attentive to detail, to excellence, to what sets things apart.

My luxury is found in the search for the ideal wine, the focus of my work. In every wine, I find its soul, its essence. Very few reach excellence.

I begin my journey of discovery with the colour, the brilliance, the reflection, where I try to see or discover my own soul. In white wine, golden hues remind me of a gold medal, the pleasure of victory. In red wine, red evokes lust, the pleasure of life.

In the aroma, its character begins to reveal itself. It starts as a scent that reaches my olfactory memories, where I may find flowers, fruit, the smell of lavender from my grandmother’s old wardrobe, or the aroma of the sea’s foaming bustle.

Then I feel the smoothness of the fine crystal glass as I bring it to my lips.

High expectations. I want everything! The essence, the exclusivity, the delight.

I want the vibrant acidity to reverberate through me; I want the wine’s dryness to make me bring it back to my lips, its roughness to be mine alone, its volume as it fills my mouth to be elegant, and the nectar to remain so distinctive that it raises my standards to a new level.

A memorable glass of wine is the luxury I seek!

It is with this concept that I bring my sabbatical to an end.

I return to present new wines, distinctive nectars, and outside-the-box producers—in other words, wines that create unforgettable moments.
